Road Captain Joe Gennarelli will be leading a ride to the Hawthorne Gun Club located at 296 Wagaraw Rd, Hawthorne, NJ 07506.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

On\u00a0August 6th<\/span><\/span>\u00a0we will be heading to the Hawthorne Gun Club for our annual gun run.\u00a0 The cost will be $5.00 per shooter.\u00a0 If you\u2019ve been to a public range recently you know this is a fraction of what it would cost for an hour.\u00a0 The range has covered ports and there will be several certified instructors on hand (including me) to assist any new or newer shooters.\u00a0 All safety rules apply, the most basic being:
\n\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 1.\u00a0 Always keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction (downrange).
\n\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 2.\u00a0 Keep the firearm unloaded until you are ready to use it.
\n\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 3.\u00a0 Keep your finger outside of the trigger guard until you are ready to fire.
\nThere will be at least one Range Safety Officer on hand to make sure all safety rules are followed.\u00a0
\nWhen traveling you should keep your ammunition in a separate saddlebag from your firearm.
\nHawthorne has several other rules which we will follow such as no magnums and no rapid firing.\u00a0 The range will supply targets.\u00a0 If you do not have a safety flag to indicate your firearm is unloaded we will provide them.\u00a0 This has always been a fun day for those who attend.\u00a0\u00a0
\nAfterward we will travel a short distance to the Fair Lawn Promenade on Route 208 where we will have a choice of several food venues. \u00a0\u00a0
